How I got here…
-
Over 15 years ago, I was recommended Matwork Pilates to help with some running injuries and I loved it. A few months later I was introduced to Reformer Pilates, and I was totally addicted. I had recently completed my Nutrition degree and was working towards my Master’s when I first had the dream of creating a space that married both nutrition and Pilates. Fast forward a few years and two kids later I knew I needed to create this space.
Pilates had saved me in so many ways. After having my babies, I felt like I had hit rock bottom both physically and mentally. Like so many new parents I knew I needed to focus on filling my own cup, but I didn’t know where to start. I didn’t have any family living close by and wanted to get back into Pilates but couldn’t find that space that was child friendly and would help with my post birth recovery.
Since working as a Pilates Instructor, I have seen people of all ages and abilities and the transformation Pilates creates. Watching people come in that haven’t been able to bend down or squat comfortably that are now able to move and exercise in ways they had forgotten is why I love Reformer Pilates so much. This studio is for those that may not feel comfortable in a larger class environment and want the support and attention to meet their fitness goals.
I want to create a studio that offers personalised workouts, for those with injuries, returning to exercise, pregnant or for women post birth. A space that was flexible, affordable but most of all a space that was inclusive.
